Jeffrey P. Shapiro is a native of New York and is the President of the Miami law firm of Jeffrey P. Shapiro, P.A., where he practices in the area of commercial litigation with a primary focus on business and real estate related disputes. Mr. Shapiro is licensed to practice in all state courts of the state of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He received is Bachelor?s Degree in 1979 from Tulane University and his law degree in 1982 from the University of Miami Law School.
Prior to starting his own firm in 2000, Mr. Shapiro was a partner with the Miami law firm of Keith Mack LLP. At Keith Mack, as one of the senior "go-to" litigators, he gained valuable experience in representing both institutional clients and individuals in a broad range of commercial matters related to business, contract, employment, landlord/tenant and real property disputes, including title insurance matters. Within these practice areas, he developed a unique talent for fashioning "extraordinary relief" in cases involving injunctions and pre-judgment collection efforts.
Now with his own firm, Mr. Shapiro continues to prosecute and defend civil lawsuits through the trial and appellate levels in both the state and federal courts.
